Vontier provides coverage to help protect your income in the event of a disability.

In addition to disability leaves, Vontier offers other types of corporate leaves of absence, including bereavement, family leave, military leaves, and more. Request more information from your local People & Culture department.

Overview

A serious illness or injury can cause significant financial hardship for your family. Disability insurance, provided through Unum, replaces a portion of your income to help you continue paying your bills and meeting your financial obligations during this difficult time.

Disability insurance plans

Short-term disability

Vontier provides company-paid coverage that pays you a disability benefit for up to a certain number of weeks. Plan provisions may vary by operating company. Please check with your local HR department for details.

Long-term disability

Long-term disability coverage protects you from the financial impact of an extended disability.

Short-Term Disability

Vontier's short-term disability coverage through Unum provides you with a percentage of your weekly salary for a certain number of weeks, up to a weekly maximum. Plan provisions may vary by operating company. Please check with your local HR department for the benefits that apply to you. Generally, short-term disability coverage is automatic and company-paid.

Long-Term Disability

Vontier's basic long-term disability coverage through Unum provides you with:

  • Automatic, company-paid coverage; no need to enroll.
  • Benefits that start after you have been disabled for 180 days.
  • Payments equal to 50% of your salary, up to a maximum of $15,000 per month.

Long Term Disability buy-up

  • You may choose to purchase an additional LTD insurance to receive a total of 60% of your salary, up to a maximum of $25,000 per month.
  • Coverage is optional and employee-paid; you can enroll on the bswift website as a new hire or during Open Enrollment.
  • This coverage is provided through Unum.
